A story.
A stage.
A little Sahar.
I’m Sahar Ali. Performer, writer, director.
Sudanese-Irish. At home in a good story.
From Shakespeare and screen roles to immersive theatre and stand-up, I bring characters to life—and a little of myself to every room.

Many roles.
One storyteller.
My work moves between theatre, film, television and comedy. I’ve played Macduff in Macbeth, Renfield in Dracula, and Bernice in Don’t Go—alongside television appearances with AMC and RTÉ.
I also write and direct for the stage. Comedy is another part of the story: more than 100 live stand-up shows, co-founding Comedykix, and a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe show.
